Q1What happens after the 30-day trial?
The app shows a license screen and pauses normal operation until you enter a valid license key. Your data is never deleted. Enter a key and everything continues exactly where you left off. Once licensed, your instance is licensed forever.
Q2Do I get updates after buying?
Yes. Security and maintenance updates for your major version are included forever, at no extra cost. Major version upgrades are optional paid purchases. You can always keep running the version you own.
Q3Can I self-host on my own server?
That is the only way entrytwo runs: on infrastructure you control. Most people use a VPS with Docker and HTTPS. You can also install and run it locally (e.g. on a Mac), the same way classic desktop accounting software lives on your machine: full production use, not just a trial sandbox. There is no multi-tenant hosted version and no vendor with access to your books.
Q4What if I lose my license key?
Your key can be re-issued from your Stripe purchase record. Provide your payment reference or receipt and we regenerate the same key - no lost purchases.
Q5Is this suitable for my accountant?
Yes. entrytwo is AI-native double-entry accounting with closed periods, a complete tamper-proof audit trail, and standard reports (P&L, balance sheet, ledgers, CSV export). Auditors tend to like the full change history a lot.
